  • What is Book Bale?
    Book Bale is a membership-based platform that allows subscribers to access a wide selection of books. It offers a community-centric environment where readers can connect directly with authors and publishers. Publishers can list their works on Book Bale for subscribers to download and read.
  • What is the process for joining Book Bale as a partner publisher?
    You can join by submitting an application through the BookBalePartner.com portal. Once your application is submitted, it becomes the effective date of your agreement with Book Bale, and upon acceptance, you can start uploading and managing your inventory.
  • Is participation in Book Bale on an exclusive or non-exclusive basis?
    Participation in Book Bale is on a non-exclusive basis.
  • What happens after I upload my content?
    Once you upload your content, it will undergo a review process by Book Bale. All materials are subject to approval, and Book Bale reserves the right to reject or remove any content it deems unsuitable.
  • What types of works can I upload to Book Bale?
    You can upload the following types of works: ï‚· Novels, Anthologies, Collections: 40,000+ words ï‚· Novellas: 10,000 - 39,999 words ï‚· Novelettes: 7,500 - 9,999 words ï‚· Short Stories: 1,000 - 7,499 words ï‚· Magazines: Periodic publications with various articles or stories
  • How do I set the price for my eBooks?
    You can set the price for your eBooks in whole dollars (no cents). The minimum price for novels is $3, while shorter works can be priced at $1 or $2. The price cannot exceed the regular price on Amazon by more than 50 cents.
  • Are there any restrictions on what I can upload?
    Yes, works shorter than 1,000 words (including flash fiction) and magazines with less than 1,000 words cannot be uploaded independently. Additionally, content that is offensive, advocates violence, or denigrates individuals or groups based on their faith, race, gender, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic will be rejected or removed at Book Bale’s discretion.
  • When do I get paid?
    Payments are made every six months, and they are itemized by title.
  • How is my revenue calculated?
    Book Bale retains 40% of subscription fees for administrative costs 60% of total collected membership fees is distributed among publishers.
  • What happens if there’s a dispute between me and Book Bale?
    Any disputes will be resolved through arbitration in Rockville, Maryland, under American Arbitration Rules. Maryland law governs the agreement.
  • How can I terminate my agreement with Book Bale?
    Either party can terminate the agreement with 60 days’ notice or for cause.
  • Do I need to sign a long-term agreement?
    There is no long-term agreement, so you are able to cancel your participation at any time.
  • How does Book Bale handle confidential information?
    Both parties must keep confidential information private unless required by law. Confidentiality obligations continue even after the termination of the agreement.
  • How do I manage my listings and inventory?
    You can manage your listings and inventory through the BookBalePartner.com portal. This site is where you upload and update your content, as well as manage pricing and track earnings.
